Flights & Car Hire
We are able to book flights by way of our Retail Agency Status for ATOL Holders.
Flights to the region are available through us through all major UK & Ireland airports. The main arrival airports are Almeria, Alicante and Murcia. Almeria is the nearest for our featured resorts - the transfer time to Mojacar is approx. 45 minutes whilst Roquetas de Mar takes approx. 20 minutes. The journey from Alicante and Murcia take approximately 2 hours.
Please note ‘ATOL Protection’ usually applies to flights booked in the UK only. We are UK regulated ‘retail for ATOL protected tour operators’ BOOK YOUR FLIGHTS WITH CONFIDENCE THAT THEY ARE PROTECTED.
Car Hire Spain
All cars are booked with UK regulated companies. This is in keeping with our customer protection policy.
Car Hire can be booked on its own. We have excellent rates of hire... Cars start from as little as £9 per day at Alicante and Murcia Airports whilst rates at Almeria Airport start from as low as £10.50 per day. We will do our best to price match...
Cars can be booked for collection and drop at the airport, or we can arrange short term rentals for those who wish with ‘in resort collection’. One way rentals are also possible.
You will find we are competitive on car hire and we have confidence that you will not be disappointed with the rental service.
Insurance
At Longsands Travel we can arrange both single trip and annual holiday insurance. We are also able to respond to requests for special cover where medical conditions have to be taken into account.
Similarly we can arrange ‘activities’ insurance to cover you for almost anything!
All our insurance is provided by MGP. The policies are excellent with no hidden extras and we typically offer these ‘at cost’ for customers purchasing holiday or travel products through us.
